Creole Honey Chicken Wings - A Taste of the Carnival
Hello spice lovers! Are you ready for a culinary adventure? Today, I'm excited to share with you an absolutely mouthwatering recipe that's bound to become your new favorite – Creole Honey Chicken Wings. These wings are packed with flavor, carrying the vibrant and zesty taste of our Creole Kick Carnival seasoning blend.
The Kick of Creole
There's something magical about Creole cuisine. It's a blend of cultures, colors, and flavors that create a culinary carnival in your mouth. It's spicy, savory, and slightly sweet, just like our Creole Kick Carnival spice blend. When used in these chicken wings, it infuses them with authentic Creole charm.
Prepping the Wings
Start off by washing your chicken wings with a mixture of lemon and vinegar to ensure they're clean and ready for the seasoning. Pat them dry and then dive into the magic of marination.
To your chicken wings, add a blend of olive oil, homemade green seasoning, Garlic of Eden seasoning , and, of course, our star - the Creole Carnival Kick seasoning. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least an hour to really soak in those flavors.
The Honey Creole Glaze
While the chicken is marinating, it's time to prepare the showstopper – the Honey Creole Glaze. This glaze is like the icing on the cake, transforming these wings from great to outstanding.
Start by heating up butter in a pan, add garlic, green chillies for a bit of a kick, and fresh thyme for that aromatic touch. Add a squeeze of lemon, honey for sweetness, and a generous sprinkle of our Creole Kick Carnival seasoning blend. Cook it all for about 3 minutes, being careful not to burn it. This glossy, tangy, and spicy glaze will be divided into two bowls and set aside.
Cooking the Wings
Once the wings have marinated, it's time to hit the grill! Grill the wings for about 2 minutes on each side to add a smoky flavor. Then, transfer them to a wire rack in the oven to finish.
About 20 minutes into baking, brush the wings with the first half of the Honey Creole Glaze, then flip and glaze the other side. Put them back into the oven for another 15 minutes. Then glaze one more time, turn the oven to broil, and pop them back in for 2 more minutes to get that sticky, caramelized finish.
When the wings are done, give them one final glaze, making sure to save some for dipping later. Garnish with fresh cilantro for a pop of freshness.
And there you have it!
Your Creole Honey Chicken Wings are ready. This is more than just a dish; it's a celebration of flavors. Serve these at your next party, game night, or even as a special treat for yourself. Trust me, one bite of these wings, and you'll be transported to the heart of a Creole carnival.
